The LIU Brooklyn Sports Medicine staff is dedicated to the prevention, rehabilitation and recovery needs of all student-athletes. All of LIU Brooklyn’s Athletic Trainers are Board Certified and licensed to practice in the state of New York. LIU's athletic trainers strive to place great attention and detail on every student-athlete in order to provide the best care possible. The sports medicine staff prides themselves on not only providing the best injury-specific plan of care, but also ensuring that the athlete's long-term health goals are met. The LIU Sports Medicine department works under the supervision of Team Physician Dr. Dennis A. Cardone. Dr. Cardone, who specializes in Sports Medicine practices out of NYU Langone Center for Musculoskeletal Care and NYU Langone Trinity Center.
